Melathar, DA of Crucible

When I started writing Fury all the way back in 2023 one of the first characters I conjured was Melathar, a lich ruling a high-elf enclave of eight sorceresses. Fast forward to today and I’ve evolved the character as DA of Crucible Corporation, the Fourth Circle of Law and Light (or Fourth Circle of Hell if you ask Ishethra). No DA doesn’t mean District Attorney; it means Director of Assimilation.

As a rare being who wields three magic domains (fire, water, death) think of Melathar as a 20th level sorceress who also happens to be immortal with her soul split into eight soulstones. I spent a few hours getting her image right for a scene in Act III of Sins for Sale where she pops into Vlasta’s mansion to check Ishethra’s antics.

Ancient lich versus former demon lord? An Ishethra Melathar duel? With comic-style pictures in a dark romance novel? Absolutely.
