A Saffa Nightwind Action Shot, Made in Midjourney

On Saturday, I used Midjourney to craft this image of Saffa in mavka form, wearing Rostam and wielding Starfang, in the aftermath of her demolishing one of Bratgon’s tanks.

After three hours, I spent another hour doing touch ups and altering her hair color. I think it turned out amazing! The final image is followed by the original from Midjourney.

The biggest changes are to Saffa’s hair, armor, sword, and the general temperature of the photo. I gave Saffa a tail and little horns too.

In the book, when a mavka, she has klingon like ridges and bone spikes on her forehead, but Midjourney didn’t want to make those, so I punted on making her 100% accurate. And technically she has a braid tucked in her armor during this scene in the book, but I wanted to showcase her hair color of freedom.

Thanks to Danielle Arcila, my narrator, for upgrading the image big time with fire, metal, reflections, and overall badassness!
